The Living Stories & Deadly Adventures is back this October as the Bram Stoker Festival returns to Dublin for another year to celebrate the local man whose mind created Count Dracula!

There's really only one original vampire... all others created in the wake of Count Dracula pale into insignificance. This is why, every October, legions of horror lovers descend on the heart of Gothic Dublin to celebrate Count Dracula and his creator. Yes, Abraham (Bram) Stoker was born in 1847 in Clontarf, Dublin, a leafy seaside suburb just outside the city centre, as the bat flies. The Bram Stoker Festival is four nights of deadly adventures, ghastly thrills and ghostly events celebrating the master of horror in his hometown. Bed Bound until the age of seven, Bram’s young mind was filled with macabre tales and Irish folklore regaled by his Sligo-born mother. It’s perhaps this that inspired him to create the prince of darkness, and why both the man and the monster are honoured during this bloodsucking festival.
